Thank you

It is with deep gratitude and profound sadness that we want to inform you of mxogyny’s closure. Our contributors unwavering support over the years has meant the world to us, and we would not have achieved so much without the dedication and enthusiasm you have shown.

mxogyny was founded to amplify marginalised voices and foster a space for vital conversations. That purpose has driven all our efforts and we are immensely proud of what we have accomplished together. This decision hasn’t come easily, like many independent media platforms, we’ve faced financial challenges, and sustaining a collaborative, values-led space has become increasingly difficult in today’s media climate. We also recognise the importance of stepping back to allow new organisations and groups with shared values and vision to come to the forefront. We are confident that this important work will continue, and we look forward to seeing the future these movements will shape.

Thank you for believing in our mission, for being an integral part of this journey, and for being part of our community. Although this farewell is bittersweet, we trust that the spirit of mxogyny will live on, inspiring new conversations and meaningful connections.

mxogyny.com will remain live as an archive to explore until 14 September 2026.

With love,
the Mx team x
