TITS ‘n’ TALES

Outside, the pandemic outbreak has immobilized the whole world. Inside, an old house with no balcony or patio, two friends, one writer, the other illustrator, both migrants, question themselves more intensely about the present. Both feel the even stronger need to create a connection between people that combines art, creativity, irreverence, responsibility and a good dose of rebellion.

 WE CANNOT BE SILENT

WE CANNOT LET PEOPLE CONTINUE FEELING LONELY

WE CANNOT CONTINUE TO CENSOR OUR NIPPLES AND OUR IDEAS .…

TITS N TALES is a creative project that was born from this colorful jumble of thoughts and needs that have been pawing in our heads for some time, and have finally found space in the apparent quietness of a totally unexpected and painful situation.

We are convinced that art can once again heal our spirit, explore our bodies, facilitate the connection between human beings and direct them to beauty, mindfulness and self determination. How, you ask?

Telling raw stories based on taboo-breaking, meaningful topics that we care about.

At Tits 'n' Tales you will find stories of violence, discrimination, love, sexuality, censorship, repression, life and death based on real-life experiences, freely told by our collaborators and us.

BUT WHY Tits 'n' Tales?

Let us answer you by describing our lovely Tits!

Narrow. Side-set. Small. Empty. Asymmetrical.

Saggy tits with stretch marks and hair around the nipples, all drained by rhetoric that has reduced them to mere market meat.

Our community wants (*and needs*) to re-appropriate that symbol by giving it a new value. Making fun of all those platforms that see female nipples as evil, we want to take this symbol back, underlining how gender equality can be explained and told from multiple points of view, that discrimination is silently conveyed in our 'emancipated' society through a language that is full of degradation, misogyny and violence, and that our bodies are political tools and every choice we make about them is reflected in the society we live in.

[Vagiroses: pink and purple roses and leaves that resemble vaginas]

[The beast: a woman with yellow hair of marigolds, kissing her reflection in the water]

[Purple peaches and a strawberry with a hand playing with the peach]
